We see ads everywhere: on the Internet, on TV, on the street… It seems that there are still a few corners to explore in the world of advertising and the sky is, at the moment, one of them. However, this may change in the future and some companies are starting to develop their proposals.

Canadian startup Geometric Energy Corporation (GEC) has launched last year with Cubesata square-shaped satellite with a built-in screen to display slogans and advertisements to people on the ground.

As they explained, people who wanted to advertise their products or companies They just had to buy a plot of land from the satellite. In this way, the CEO and co-founder of GEC hoped to develop a tool that would “democratize access to space.”

Now, StartRocket, another startup, has jumped on the cart and wants to display ads from space. In his case, the satellite will be placed in low Earth orbit Almost 400 km.

This second company’s intention is to display ads to 7 billion people, that is, on the entire planet. StartRocket explains that CubeSat can not only be used for advertising purposes, but can also be used for entertainment, to send messages or photos during global events, for emergencies, natural disasters, or for special offers from global brands.

It can process more than seven tons of cargo.

The company’s goal is to run the satellite on solar energy. As detailed, the screen will be About 50 square kilometers and 3 or 4 ads will be shown every day.
