They transformed an abandoned wasteland into a green space

The Municipality carried out the reconditioning of a green space that was abandoned between Pulqui and Calquín streets, in the Comodoro Carnaghi sector of the Valentina Norte Urbana neighborhood.

Two new games for the boys and girls were placed in the recreation area, and the existing ones were restored. They also painted a mural, placed 12 square meters of granite stone and two waste baskets. More than 26 shrubs, three crepe trees and two aromos were planted.

The Undersecretariat of Minor Works was in charge of building 70 square meters of sidewalks, 100 linear meters of gutter cordon and four access ramps for people with reduced mobility. He also put up new posters.

The undersecretary of Green Spaces, Fabián Heuberger, pointed out that the reconditioned space “did not have children’s games or furniture in good condition.”

Oscar Pedrero, a resident who lives in the Carnaghi sector for 43 years, said: “It is the most beautiful thing they have done, we did not expect this, I am very proud of everything they did in our neighborhood.”

The neighbor also pointed out that it is “a very nice space now so that the boys and girls can meet and carry out different recreational activities, it is something fantastic.”
