These are the new 14 Nicaraguans who were Spanish nationalized

A new group of 14 Nicaraguans who had been stripped of their nationality and rendered stateless by the regimes of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo were nationalized by the Spanish government. The official list of guys who will now join the first group of 14 nationalized was released this Wednesday. There are already 28 stateless persons with this nationality.

According to the resolutions published in , this new nationalized board has been created Spanish Official Gazette (BOE)Former Sandinista guerrilla and freed politician, Dora Maria Delles Arguello; Former Deputy and Member of the Puentes para el Desarrollo Foundation, Edipsia juliana Dubon Castro; Former Congress and Political Analyst, Eliseo Nunez Morales; Sociologist, expert on national security issues and president of the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of Central America (SEDCAM), Elvira Quadra Lira; Wife of Carlos Fernando Chamorro, journalist and director of Confidential, Desiree Guadalupe Elizondo Cabrera.

Also a member of Unamos, Hector Ernesto Mairena; Director of the defunct Las Sequoias Leadership Institute, Heidi Isabel Castillo Flores; Sociologist and Economist, IRVIN ISITRO LARIOS SANCHEZ; and former member of the National Reconstruction Governing Council, Moises Hassan Morales.

Similarly, Zinotte’s opponent was exiled in Costa Rica, Dulce Maria Porras Aguilar; Defunct former president of the Nicaraguan Foundation for Economic and Social Development (Funides). Gerardo Jose Baltotano Canterero; Lawyer and member of human rights organization Nicaragua Nunca +, Guillermo Gonzalo Carrion Maradiaga; A former collaborator of the defunct Popol Nah Foundation, Harry Bayardo Chavez Certaand a lawyer and political prisoner who wishes to withhold his name.

On February 9, the regime deported 222 political prisoners to the United States and revoked their nationality the same day. The group was joined by another 94 comrades, who on February 15 were stripped of their nationality, declared “fugitives from justice” and ordered to confiscate their assets in Nicaragua.

Spain was the first country to grant citizenship to Nicaraguans exiled to the United States. Later, teams from Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and Brazil joined. The Spanish government grants nationality under a letter of naturalization, an exceptional process that prevents people from prolonging their precarious situation.

The director of Unamos, Hector Mairena, thanked the Spanish government for its nationalism.

“Starting today I publicly thank the Spanish government, President Pedro Sánchez, for granting Spanish citizenship to me and other compatriots deprived of Nicaragua by the Ortega dictatorship,” he wrote on Twitter.

Along the same lines, sociologist Cuatra expressed his “deep gratitude to the government and people of Spain for granting nationality to Nicaraguans who were deprived of our original nation.”

The first group

According to resolutions issued on 12 May BOE14 Nicaraguans were Spanish nationalized.

Includes stateless persons who hold citizenship Christiana and Carlos Fernando Chamorro, the children of former President Violeta Barrios de Chamorro; Prof Ernest MedinaPriest Carlos Adolfo Gelidon MontenegroActivist Alexa Zamora AranA, journalist Alvaro Navarro and human rights defender Alvaro Leiva.

In addition they Camilo de Castro Belly, son of writer Gioconda Belli; Feminist Azahalia Solis; Gertrudis Guerrerowife of writer Sergio Ramirez; Adolfo Roman Garcia And Alvaro Jesus Somoza Uruguay. Former political prisoners extradited to the US have also acquired Spanish citizenship Tamara Davilleoh But Margarita Vigil.
