Spokesmen for the Dominican Liberation Front (PLD) Assembly constituencies will be one of the topics discussed at the organisation’s political committee meeting, which began just after 10:30 a.m. Monday.

“You know August 16 is the date for the election of new directors at the congressional level, and then the PLD will elect a spokesman for the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, something they will touch on today,” commented Hector Olivo, the former ruling party’s communications director.

Elections are held electronically, for which they have 45 automatic voting teams. Up to 10 deputy secretaries will be elected for each secretary, and each member of the political committee can choose up to 20 candidates on their screen.
