So far, according to figures provided by the Spanish government, 69,000 people from around the world have become full Spanish citizens, most of them from Latin American countries.
A few days ago, the president of Spain's College of Administrative Managers, Fernando Santiago Ollero, provided details on the deadlines and documents required for applications for Spanish citizenship under the Democratic Memory Law.
The Spanish official noted that there was some skepticism on the part of applicants about the law's deadline, and that even if the law had expired, documents submitted later would be accepted as long as the request occurred within that period. validity of the Act..
