When will the iPhone 16 be released?

News about the iPhone 16 is expected during Apple's annual launch event, an event scheduled for September 2024. Possible dates for this event could be September 3 or 10, which are common days for the company's annual releases. However, we cannot rule out September 4th or 11th.

Will Apple continue to surprise us?

The recent WWDC 2023 keynote event in June celebrated the 15th anniversary of the App Store with exciting new features. The presentation of the iPhone 15 in September was notable for its dynamic island and new roadside assistance service. Now, all eyes are on the future with the iPhone 16, which promises significant innovations in both design and hardware.

As for RAM, leaks suggest that all models will have 8GB, which is upfront for the Standard and Plus editions, but not the Pro models. In addition, the Pro models will support Wi-Fi 7 and a new 5G modem, which will mean higher speeds than the standard iPhone 16 models.

How much does the iPhone 16 cost?

In terms of prices, they are likely to be similar to the iPhone 15, although some analysts suggest that the iPhone 16 could be more affordable due to changes in the chip manufacturing process. What does iPhone 16 have in store for us?

As for the screen size, an increase in diagonals is expected, 6.3 inches for the Pro version and 6.9 inches for the Ultra and Plus, while the standard version should be 6.1 inches. As for the camera, the standard iPhone 16 Pro is also expected to maintain the tetraprism lenses of the previous model and, thanks to a slightly larger housing, will allow the diagonal to increase to 6.3 inches, as mentioned above.

iPhone 16 Pro or Max?

The traditional division between standard and Pro models could evolve with the possible introduction of an Ultra variant in 2024. The Pro Max is expected to become the Ultra, underscoring its status as a flagship rather than an upgraded version of the regular Pro. The A17 chip, said to be the A18, will be exclusive to the Si models, and there's talk of a “super telephoto” for the Pro Max, along with a 48MP ultra-wide camera. The most significant camera upgrades are reserved for the Pro, Pro Max, and/or Ultra models, which incorporate printed glass for the telephoto lenses, enabling more powerful zoom without sacrificing a thin and light design.
