The Oklahoma National Guard has unveiled a new Joint Operations Center (JOC) in Chandler, marking a significant milestone in the state’s efforts to strengthen its emergency response and crisis management capabilities. The facility, located at 1115 N. Price Avenue, officially opens its doors with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. on Thursday, 20 November, to which local media have been invited.
Media representatives attending the event have been asked to arrive no later than 10:45 a.m., according to the Oklahoma National Guard’s Office of Public Affairs, which released the announcement earlier this week.
A New Hub for Emergency Command and Coordination
The new Joint Operations Center will serve as a mission command and coordination hub, purpose-built to enhance the Guard’s ability to manage and support domestic operations during state emergencies.
