OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics Commission is set to hold a public meeting in Oklahoma City, providing residents, industry stakeholders, and interested parties with an opportunity to follow discussions related to the state’s aerospace and aviation sector.

The meeting is scheduled for July 15, 2026, and will take place at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) First Floor Conference Room, located at 200 NE 21st Street. The session is being conducted in accordance with the Oklahoma Open Meeting Act, which requires public access to meetings of government bodies.

Officials said the meeting will be open to members of the public who wish to attend in person. In addition, the commission is offering a livestream option to ensure broader accessibility for those unable to travel to the meeting venue.

The Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics Commission plays a key role in overseeing matters related to aviation and aerospace development across the state. The commission regularly reviews agency initiatives, discusses industry priorities, and considers issues affecting airports, aviation infrastructure, and aerospace-related economic development.

Oklahoma’s aerospace industry remains one of the state’s most significant economic sectors, supporting thousands of jobs and contributing substantially to business activity throughout the region. Through its programs and partnerships, the department works to promote aviation growth, strengthen airport systems, and support workforce development initiatives that benefit the industry.

Public meetings of the commission serve as an important platform for transparency and accountability. They allow citizens, aviation professionals, business leaders, and community representatives to stay informed about government actions and policy discussions that may influence the future direction of the state’s aerospace sector.

The meeting will be held at ODOT headquarters in Oklahoma City, a location frequently used for public agency meetings and transportation-related discussions. By hosting the session at a central government facility and providing remote viewing capabilities, the commission aims to maximize public participation and engagement.

Officials noted that viewers planning to watch remotely should ensure that the volume settings on their computers, mobile devices, or other viewing equipment are properly adjusted. The meeting will be electronically recorded and audio livestreamed from the Oklahoma City venue, allowing remote participants to follow proceedings as they occur.

The use of livestream technology reflects a broader effort among public agencies to increase accessibility and public involvement in government operations. Remote viewing options have become an increasingly common tool for ensuring that important public discussions remain accessible to a wider audience.

Commission meetings often include updates on ongoing aviation programs, airport projects, infrastructure investments, and other initiatives designed to support Oklahoma’s position as a leading aerospace state. These sessions provide valuable insight into current priorities and future opportunities within the industry.

As aerospace continues to be a major driver of economic growth and innovation in Oklahoma, the commission’s meetings remain an important forum for reviewing developments, discussing strategic objectives, and ensuring public awareness of issues affecting the state’s aviation community.

The upcoming session will offer stakeholders and residents another opportunity to observe the commission’s work and remain informed about activities that support Oklahoma’s aerospace and aeronautics sector.
