Are you one of those people who are crazy about the WhatsApp mobile messaging application? Well, you should know that they have launched a new blocking function for unwanted messages that you are not aware of. We say below.

According to reports In the press release, WhatsApp introduced a new feature that many users have been waiting for a long time. It's a fast and convenient way to prevent unwanted messages from being opened.

Meta's own messaging app announced the news (via a message on its official platform account, explaining the new feature). What this allows is, when you receive a message from an unknown contact on your lock screen, you just need to press and hold the notification and several options will appear.

One of them is to block the sender at that time. Very easy and effective. The app will also show you a second pop-up message if you want to report a contact.

New Blogging Feature in WhatsApp

How to do it? Check the Report contact box and select Block in the pop-up window that appears on your device. The update saves you the hassle of opening the app and searching through chats to block unwanted messages.

This new option is designed to save you time when you want to block someone without having to go through submenus and endure the hassle of finding and opening a chat. Before this, you need to open the chat and look in the dropdown menu for block option.

Hence, the process is simplified without sacrificing efficiency. Another way to do this in WhatsApp is to long-press a message in the chat list and enter the drop-down menu to find the desired option.

WhatsApp continues its fight against spam with new features that give you more control over your messaging experience. This latest update lets you block unwanted messages from the lock screen, makes it easier to deal with spam, and improves the fluidity of your conversations.
