La Nación / Conacyt Develops a Scientific Agenda

At the end of 2021, CONSET began the process of participatory construction of the National Science, Technology and Innovation (CTI) Agenda, consisting of strategic actions for the years 2022 to 2030. This aims to create, maintain and augment national capacities in research, technological development and innovation, in order to support the competitive strategies of the sector Productivity and national policies for social, economic and environmental development.

In addition, strategic challenges of a multi-sectoral and interdisciplinary nature are posed, allowing to focus efforts to meet national needs in these areas. Addressing needs by relying on applied technologies and using knowledge, in order to ensure the competitiveness of the national scientific base with a future vision.

On the other hand, Conacyt had up-to-date and representative information on the group of implementers of research and development (R&D) activities and projects, and researchers classified in the National Scholars Motivation Program (PRONII), among others. Likewise, surveys of laboratory equipment have been accessed. In business innovation, the results of the most recent EIEP survey available were used.
