Barahona.- The leader of the People’s Army Party, Leonel Fernandez, has expressed the opinion that Dominicans are increasingly disaffected with the current government, and recent surveys show that 51 percent of them are ready to leave the country.

Fernandez spoke here during a jam-packed event at the halls of the Resurrection and Life Christian Center as part of his two-day agenda in Barahona, Asua and Peravia.

“We saw in the surveys what we did not notice before: 51% of the people surveyed say they are ready to leave the country because they do not see a future in the Dominican Republic,” he emphasized.

“When a majority of a country’s people say they are ready to leave because they don’t see a future in the land of their birth, that’s the worst,” he opined.

In the first place is the People’s Army

He alleged that because of this disagreement of the people with the current government, already in the southern provinces and Greater Santo Domingo, surveys indicate that the People’s Force is the first priority of the voters.

At the Resurrection and Life Christian Center he was received by dozens of people who, according to the FP’s note, former reformers and PRD leaders decided to join this organization and were sworn in by the opposition leader.
