“Don’t damage my car, it’s my mother”: the plea of a thief caught by the community

After the robbery at a supermarket, security cameras at the location recorded that the four thieves could not escape as they were detained by the community.

The incident took place on Tuesday in the Buenos Aires area of Medellin, Colombia, and thanks to the action of neighboring countries, authorities were able to locate four people.

The men arrived at the supermarket with their guns and took various items, including cash registers, to intimidate those at the scene.

But what they didn’t count on was that the community reacted when they fled and their car was attacked.

In fact, the glass shattered as stones were thrown at the vehicle to prevent the men from leaving the neighborhood side.

Similarly, the community alerted the police, who moved quickly and arrested four people, including two minors, and recovered the stolen money.

However, after officers arrived at the scene and were told the culprits, the neighbors attacked the car, which was destroyed.

One of them, as heard in videos circulating on social media, asked that his car not be damaged because “it belongs to my mother,” he said.

Detainees must be held accountable for crimes such as robbery and possession of a firearm.
