Diputación.- The 7th contest of the fair’s “Little Chefs” concludes the gastronomic space “Saporia Almeria” – Spain

The gastronomic space “Saporia Almeria” closed on Sunday for eight days of intense activity in the best possible way, instilling one hundred percent love for Almeria products in a group of 17 children who participated in the seventh edition of the children’s gastronomy competition “Minichefs”, a competition in which “” Fun, camaraderie, lots of laughter and also some nerve.”

And, as indicated in a press release, the list of awards was headed by Pablo Ballenzuela, who prepared a wonderful eel salad; Brian de la Muela Almeida, with sweet sponge cake, cream, pineapple and peach; and Fran Hernandez with cold soup. The award ceremony was attended by the President of the Provincial Council, Javier A. Garcia, and Vice President of Agro-Food Promotion, Carlos Sanchez.

Vegetables, fruits and healthy cooking were the common elements of the different dishes offered. The professionals who are part of the “Almería Gastronómica” association have also given advice and recommendations so that the young children at home are aware of the need for a healthy diet.

In addition, on Saturday there are exhibitions by José Carlos Salinas from Obrador Las Pitas, who was recently named the second best baker in Andalusia, and Miguel Ángel Rodríguez, master chocolatier of “Chocolate La Virgitana”, from Berga. The competition jury was set up on this occasion by these two master chefs and a team from the “Almería Gastronómica” association: Rafael Rodríguez, Marivi Montoya, Tolo Castillo and Patricio Ubeda.

This niche space located on the Paseo is organized by the District of Culture, Traditions and Major Festivals of the Almería City Council and the Provincial Council of Almería, with its brand “Sapores Almería”, and coordinated by the “Almería Gastronomic Association”, it was once again a great promoter of the Almería Fair during the morning and afternoon , with a large audience attending each session.

It was eight days of intense activity with product improvement and chefs from Almeria being the great attractions. In these eight days there were twenty cooking shows, as well as hosting the celebration of the twenty-seventh Fair Gastronomy Competition, which Joaquín Felices won and had a significant increase in economic endowment with first, second, third and fourth prizes.
