The new space, which occupies an area of more than 1000 m2 and is located next to the La Santa Cruz urbanization, has been conditioned by the City Council for events on summer nights
With a musical concert a new cultural and leisure space was inaugurated last night for the summer nights of Almuñécar. The new space is called “La Plaza del Sexi” and is located in the Parque del Aqueducto, next to the urbanization “La Santa Cruz”.
This new space, of more than 1000 m2, has been conditioned by the Sexitano Consistory with an investment of about 30,000 euros and, after taking it out to tender, it will be managed by the local company Eventek, in collaboration with the Culture Area of the Almuñécar City Council , where it will offer a cultural program during the months of July and August with concerts and other shows.
“This project brings value to this area, creating a cultural space with sensational views, so that everyone can enjoy this place accompanied by top-level artists and local groups, who will contribute to making us spend a few nights very pleasant ”, said the mayor of Culture, Alberto García Gilabert, who recalled that the improvements made, especially in access to the area, lighting and signage, are part of the 90th Anniversary of the Declaration of Asset of Cultural Interest of the Roman Aqueduct of Almunecar.
The local company Eventek, led by the almuñequero Pablo Lamelas, is in charge of managing the new space, where you can enjoy concerts, monologues and other activities, accompanying the evening with views of the Roman Aqueduct of Almuñécar, while enjoying a Snack or a drink: “We will have a“ food truck ”so that spectators can enjoy the concerts with a drink. We will have local and regional artists and we also plan to do activities for the little ones, making this place a family space ”, explains Lamelas.
During this month of July, the groups Eskorzo and Queen of Magic will pass through “La Plaza del Sexi”. The group Arco, the comedian, Christian García; Antelope, the musicians Canijo de Jerez and Andrés Suarez, will perform in the month of August, although there are still artists to be confirmed, who will be making themselves known in the coming days.
Access to the inauguration of “La Plaza del Sexi” will be by invitation until full capacity is reached, which can be purchased at the Casa de la Cultura de Almuñécar. Tickets to the events will be available soon at www.entradium.com or at the box office, days before the show.
The capacity will be reduced, where the artists can be enjoyed a few meters from the stage, and respect for the Roman Aqueduct of Almuñécar will prevail, and all the measures established by the health officials will be established.
