Actress Sicily Tyson has died at the age of 96. She never retired

Actress Sicily Tyson passed away on Thursday at the age of 96, leaving behind a valuable career in film and television. He never retired – in 2020 he was still filming, and last week he released his memoirs.

Her press agent, Larry Thompson, confirmed the actress’ death, which has changed since the film’s debut in 1959 on the big screen as a symbol of the African-American community.

“I have been managing Miss Tyson’s life for over 40 years, and each year is a privilege and honor for me,” the actress’ agent said in a statement, without mentioning the cause of death. AcerPress.

Sicilian Tyson’s best productions include films such as “Sardar” (1973), “Fried Green Tomatoes” (1991) and “The Help” (2011), the TV series “House of Cards” (2016) and “How to Escape from Murder” (2015 -2020).

EFE reports that he has received numerous awards and accolades in 2018, including the Cooperative Raw Oscar Award, for his roles.

Many Hollywood stars have the opportunity to play alternative roles in cinema without losing their grip on the small screen for Sicily Tyson.

An African-American actress who made a solid career on the big screen, she successfully starred in the TV production of “Miss Jane Bitman’s Biography” (1974) and starred in the popular series “East Side / West”. Page “(1963-1964). Both characters became very popular with the audience, and made Sicily Tyson a symbol for the African-American audience.

She continued to work on television and the most recent series, “To Get Away With Murder”, in which she played the protagonist’s mother, Viola Davis.

Sicily Tyson never retired, working until the last year of his life. His last shoot was before 2020, and this week he released his memoir, “Just Us I Am”. When the co-op received the Oscar in 2018, he said: “You have to believe, you have to believe, you have to believe in what you do.”

Sicily Tyson has other major trophies on her list, including three Primetime Emmy Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award, a Tony Award and a Peabody Award. He was also awarded the Kenny Center in 2015, and in November 2016 he was awarded the Presidential Medal, the highest civilian distinction in the United States. In 2020, Sicily Tyson was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame.
