Lambeau Field, the longtime home of the Green Bay Packers, has emerged as the highest-rated NFL stadium in a new analysis of online fan reviews, outperforming newer and more expensive venues across the league as teams prepare for the upcoming season.
The analysis by APWin compared Google and TripAdvisor reviews of qualifying NFL stadiums and weighted the ratings according to the number of reviews posted on each platform. The methodology gives greater influence to ratings supported by large numbers of visitors rather than treating ratings based on substantially different sample sizes equally.
Lambeau Field Leads NFL Stadium Ratings
Lambeau Field finished first with a weighted score of 4.84 out of five. The Green Bay venue recorded remarkably consistent results across the two review platforms, earning a 4.84 Google rating and a 4.85 TripAdvisor rating.
The stadium also stood out for the proportion of visitors awarding the highest possible rating. About 88.6% of its TripAdvisor reviews were five stars. The results were supported by nearly 22,000 Google reviews and another 3,570 TripAdvisor reviews.
Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons, ranked second with a weighted score of 4.74. The Atlanta venue carried a Google rating of 4.75 based on 34,995 reviews, while its TripAdvisor rating was 4.31.
AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, followed in third at 4.70, narrowly ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium at 4.69. AT&T Stadium had 45,906 Google reviews and a 4.59 TripAdvisor rating, compared with Arrowhead’s 15,918 Google reviews and 4.46 TripAdvisor score.
Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Indianapolis Colts, ranked fifth at 4.68, followed by the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Acrisure Stadium at 4.67. M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore placed seventh at 4.65.
Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders, also recorded a 4.65 weighted score and ranked eighth. However, the venue demonstrated one of the notable differences between review platforms, scoring 4.65 on Google but 3.95 on TripAdvisor.
U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis ranked ninth at 4.64, while Seattle’s Lumen Field completed the top 10 with a weighted score of 4.63.
Northwest Stadium Finishes at Bottom of Ranking
At the opposite end of the analysis, Northwest Stadium, home of the Washington Commanders, recorded the lowest weighted score among qualifying venues at 3.97.
The stadium received a 4.01 Google rating and a 3.25 TripAdvisor score. Only 24.1% of its TripAdvisor reviews awarded five stars, compared with 88.6% for Lambeau Field.
Paycor Stadium, home of the Cincinnati Bengals, and Levi’s Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers, each posted displayed weighted scores of 4.42. MetLife Stadium, Huntington Bank Field and Soldier Field were also among the lower-ranked venues.
SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles highlighted another significant difference between the two platforms. Home to both the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, the venue recorded a weighted score of 4.55. Its Google rating was 4.56 from 21,954 reviews, while its TripAdvisor score was substantially lower at 3.14 from 161 reviews.
The 1.42-point difference illustrates how perceptions of the same stadium can vary considerably depending on the review platform.
Fan Experience Extends Beyond New Stadium Features
Amauri Barbosa, Manager of APWin, commented: “Lambeau is one of those stadiums with a reputation that goes well beyond the Packers, so it is interesting to see just how strongly that comes through in the reviews too. It isn’t only number one because of one particularly good score. People are rating it at around 4.8 stars on both platforms, and nearly nine in ten TripAdvisor reviews give it five stars.
“The difference between some of the platforms is probably the most interesting part of the data. SoFi is a really obvious example. It has nearly 22,000 Google reviews and a 4.56 rating there, which sounds very strong, but its TripAdvisor score is only 3.14.
“Allegiant is another one. It still makes the top 10 because so many people have rated it highly on Google, but TripAdvisor visitors haven’t been anywhere near as positive. Those gaps are a good reminder that there isn’t always one single view of a stadium.
“It is also interesting that some of the venues people might think of as more traditional NFL stadiums are still performing so well. A shiny new building can obviously add to the experience, but fans are judging everything from atmosphere and views to staff, food, access and the overall game-day experience.”
The rankings suggest that stadium age and investment alone do not determine how visitors evaluate an NFL venue. With Lambeau Field maintaining a substantial advantage in both overall ratings and five-star reviews, the historic Green Bay stadium continues to receive strong marks from fans even as newer venues reshape the NFL game-day experience.
