Music Students

After-school rehearsals have prepared a select group of elementary music students to perform with students from across the state in a special concert Friday in Stillwater.

Dates Shared For Upcoming Music Competitions

About 40 Cleveland elementary chorus students have been selected to attend the OkMEA music conference again this year.

They have been rehearsing after school since October and had their final rehearsal on Monday with their instructors Mr. Whitehead, Ms. Johnson and accompanist Mrs. Abbott. They will travel to Stillwater on Friday.

Circle the State with Song allows exceptional music students to spend a day working with guest choral clinicians on challenging music and for a choral experience with other students in the region.

According to instructors, the music they will be singing is much more difficult than what the students’ normal level of study would be.

The students are scheduled for a evening performance at the Stillwater High School Performing Arts Center on Friday at 5:30 p.m. to showcase what they have learned. The concert is open to the public with a $2 admission fee.
