Winter Baseball – Urrudia scored a pair of home runs to take Gigantes to victory

Following on the round robin of the Dominican Baseball League, Cuba’s Henry Urutia hit two homers at the Julian Javier Stadium this Wednesday to give the Gigantes del Chibao Eastern stars a 9-1 lead in five rounds.

Cuba has scored three homers in the last two games with 6 RBIs.

The Giants, led by their opening batsman Logan Ondruzek (1-0, 0.00), were able to control the green batsmen with six innings of three wins, one walk, seven strikeouts and a right-handed victory.

Green starter Edwin Usetta (0-0, 10.80) voted the usual best rookie in 3 1/3 innings, conceding eight wins, four runs scored, one walk and three strikeouts.

Giant races
