WhatsApp introduces video messages: How do they work?

Florida, United States.- WhatsApp has introduced one of its most awaited features: video messages. The new update is available only in the beta version WhatsApp for iOS and AndroidThe company is expected to implement the stable version soon.

WhatsApp is known for rolling out new features quickly like edit button, hide online presence, block chat and more. So, it seems that this new feature will soon be available to all users of the stable version of the app.

Currently, video messages are available in the version WhatsApp beta 23.12.0.71 and version 2.23.13.4 for iOS For Android.

Sending video messages on WhatsApp is a simple process and similar to sending audio messages. The microphone icon is replaced by a video icon in every chat, allowing users to send audio or video messages to their contacts.

What is the process?

1. Open WhatsApp and select Chat.

2. Touch the microphone or video camera icon located to the right of the typing bar.

3. Record the video and send it to the recipient.

According to WaBetaInfo, video messages are protected with end-to-end encryption, which guarantees users’ privacy. Besides, WhatsApp will be blocked Option to send video messages on the platform. However, it should be noted that you cannot prevent screen recording to save video.

While the details about the length of the videos and editing features are not yet known, the app is expected to offer basic trimming, pausing and other editing features to enhance the user experience.
