What to eat if you have gastritis

Stomach pain keeps you from enjoying your favorite foods? Perhaps you should ask yourself if you have gastritis. A proper diet helps treat the condition.

Heartburn, abdominal pain, nausea, and bloating can be forgotten if you know what and how much to eat. The causes of gastritis are several: dry food, coffee abuse, irregular and high-fat meals, starvation, over-medication, but also stress.
In the case of gastritis, eat with caution all foods that have a strong taste (sweet, spicy or bitter). It is better to eat foods with a smooth and balanced taste.

Banana

In the case of gastritis, the banana is the most suitable and effective fruit, due to its high protein content. They contain magnesium, potassium, vegetable fats, and fiber. A banana eaten in the morning for breakfast relieves heartburn.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal is recommended for its rich content of nutrients such as zinc, copper, iron, and thiamine. Oatmeal contains soluble fibers that, once in the stomach, increase in volume several times in contact with water. Thus, it acts like a sponge, absorbing toxins and harmful fats in its path.

Turmeric

Turmeric is used to treat certain gastrointestinal disorders, such as gastritis or stomach ulcers. In this regard, a turmeric extract has been shown to inhibit gastric acid secretion, helping to cure gastric diseases. Daily consumption of 3 grams of turmeric for 12 weeks leads to complete regression of the stomach ulcer in 75% of the subjects.
Studies have also shown the protective effect of turmeric against gastrointestinal and colorectal cancer. The anti-cancer effect is due to the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of curcumin.
