WhatsApp lists will be created. (WhatsApp)
WhatsApp will create a new function It gives users more customization options when interacting with their contacts. This tool allows you to create lists that include personal contacts and groups.

Implementing this list will give users the opportunity to interact with specific people in a more specific and organized way, making it easier to manage conversations and segment interactions according to each user's needs.

WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to create lists of personal contacts and groups. These lists offer the ability to share statuses and send messages to specific people, similar to the Best Friends feature on Instagram.

  2. Go to 'Settings'.

WhatsApp lists differ from communities in that they allow you to add both individual contacts and groups. Instead, communities only support groups and restrict messaging to administrators in the chat.

The process of creating a community on WhatsApp includes the following steps:

  1. Go to WhatsApp on your mobile phone.
  2. Go to 'Communities'.
  3. Select 'New Community'.
  4. Press 'Start'.
  5. Enter the name of the community and its description.
  6. Click on 'Add Group' and select the required groups for the community.

WhatsApp Communities is integrated into an organization tool that allows you to group up to 50 groups (or 100 in some versions). Facilitates the administration of large communities under the same title or interest. This function is particularly useful in several contexts:

  • Educational institutions: Communities allow students, teachers, parents and administrative staff to organize themselves into specific groups according to subjects, subjects or extracurricular activities, improving communication and coordination among all participants.
  • Clubs and Societies: For these groups, this feature facilitates communication between members, exchange of relevant information, organization of events and management of different sections or groups within the same community.
  • Companies and Institutions: WhatsApp communities create internal workspaces, divide departments, share important messages and notifications, and encourage collaboration between teams in a structured and efficient manner.

WhatsApp groups and communities vary in their structure and purpose. Groups are chat spaces where a limited number of up to 1,024 people can interact directly, ideal for coordinating discussions or specific activities.

Communities, on the other hand, allow multiple groups to group under the same topic or interest, facilitating the administration of large groups such as educational institutions or corporations. A community consists of 50 or 100 groups, centralizing administration and allowing administrators to send messages and organize information in a more efficient and structured manner.
