Two people were killed and 13 injured in a shooting incident that took place early Sunday morning in Rio Piedras, police are investigating.

According to preliminary reports, a call through the 9-1-1 emergency system alerted police to a shooting in the 11th Street area of ​​the Hill Brothers parcels. When the police arrived at the scene, they found the body of a man who had been shot.

In connection with these incidents, 14 injured persons have been admitted to various hospitals.

Later, one of the injured, a 72-year-old man, died at the Centro Medico de Rio Piedras hospital, it said.

The report did not elaborate on the nature of his injuries, saying the severity of his injuries was unknown.

Agent Norail Traviso, attached to the Homicide Unit of the San Juan Criminal Investigation Squad, is in charge of the investigation along with Attorney Luis Valentin.
