Touchstone Communities, a San Antonio-based healthcare organisation, will host its Leadership Summit 2026: Rooted in Purpose, Guided by Legacy, Growing through Innovation from 16 to 18 February 2026, bringing together around 200 senior leaders and healthcare professionals for an intensive programme of leadership development, collaboration and community engagement.
The biannual summit, to be held at the Embassy Suites San Antonio Riverwalk Downtown, is positioned as a strategic forum for healthcare executives and emerging leaders to examine the challenges facing the sector while sharing practical insights drawn from government, business and frontline care delivery. Organisers say the event is designed to strengthen leadership capacity across Touchstone Communities’ network while reinforcing its long-term mission and values.
Touchstone Communities operates skilled nursing and senior care services across Texas and has increasingly invested in leadership development as a means of improving quality, resilience and organisational culture. The 2026 summit reflects that focus, combining keynote sessions, panel discussions and collaborative workshops over three days.
The programme will feature a roster of nationally recognised executive speakers drawn from healthcare, government and the private sector. Among those confirmed is Clif Porter, president and chief executive of the American Health Care Association, who is expected to address the evolving regulatory and operational landscape for long-term care providers in the United States.
Also participating is Tony Dale, executive secretary of the Texas Veterans Land Board, bringing a government and public service perspective to discussions around leadership, stewardship and service to diverse communities.
The business sector will be represented by John McCullough, chief executive of James Avery Artisan Jewelry, who is known for leading a values-driven organisation with deep regional roots. His contribution is expected to focus on organisational culture, legacy building and sustainable growth—topics that resonate with healthcare providers navigating workforce pressures and rising demand.
Further insight into healthcare policy and advisory practice will be provided by Mark Parkinson, principal at the American Health Care Association and chief executive of Park Place Healthcare Advisors. His dual roles position him to speak on both strategic planning and policy engagement at a national level.
Rounding out the speaker line-up is Eddie Penney, founder and chief executive of the Contingent Group, whose experience in leadership under pressure and team performance is expected to offer a cross-sector perspective relevant to healthcare executives operating in complex, high-stakes environments.
In addition to formal sessions, the summit will place a strong emphasis on community service. On the evening of 16 February, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, members of the media are invited to join Touchstone Communities leaders as they take to the streets of San Antonio to perform acts of random kindness for individuals in need across the city. Participants will depart from the Embassy Suites hotel, with media representatives able to join designated teams subject to advance notice.
Organisers say this element of the programme reflects the summit’s broader theme of purpose-driven leadership, linking executive development directly to tangible community impact. It also underscores Touchstone Communities’ emphasis on service as a core organisational value rather than a peripheral activity.
The Embassy Suites San Antonio Riverwalk Downtown, located in the city’s central business and cultural district, will serve as the hub for all summit activities, providing space for plenary sessions, breakout discussions and informal networking among delegates.
With healthcare systems facing sustained pressure from workforce shortages, regulatory change and shifting demographics, the Leadership Summit 2026 aims to provide participants with practical tools and strategic perspectives that can be applied immediately within their organisations. By convening leaders from healthcare, government and business, Touchstone Communities is seeking to foster cross-sector dialogue and long-term collaboration.
Media representatives interested in attending the community service event on 16 February are advised to contact the organisers in advance to coordinate participation and team assignments.
