Three Targins stand out in the International Science and Technology Competition

They won a bronze medal at the Infomatrix World Finals, which was held in Mexico

On June 6, from Guadalajara – Mexico, Fabiana Yanez Tolay, Bianca Noemía Coronado Acebo, Bianca Camila Fernández Segovia, representatives of Historical and 5th and 6th graders of Colegio Particular La Salle, took the bronze medal in the International Science and Technology Competition Infomatrix World Intercontinental 2022 Finals.

The event took place from June 3-7 and was evaluated by international juries from different countries and universities. Tarijeñas represented Bolivia in the ‘Scientific Research’ and ‘Programming’ categories, winning bronze medals for their projects.

In this competition, Yanez, Coronado and Fernandez competed with several countries, such as Azerbaijan, Brazil, Colombia, Spain, Guatemala, China, Indonesia, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Ukraine and host Mexico.

Likewise, they shared a part of the Tarija culture, displaying traditional clothing, dance and music in a space dedicated to cultural exchange and presented to the countries participating in the international competition.

Among the projects presented is the “SPORTTEC” program, an application developed for the management of sports activities, which was born with the aim of supporting the athlete, demonstrating his skills and achievements and organizing the sports events in which he participated.

The construction and design of the “solar dryer” has also been compromised to reduce drying time, a project aimed at creating healthy food, less perishable and suitable for human consumption.

Parents indicated that they are waiting for students to arrive on Saturday 11 June at Oriel Lea Plaza Airport at 2:00 p.m.

They ask the authorities to support young people and teachers who have this interest and talent, because education is essential to the development of the country.
