Migrants traveling through Latin America to the US’s southern border have weeks of total security planning. About Safe driving in ColombiaThe idea is to guarantee the transfer of people, without difficulties, through the countries of the region.

For example, thousands of Cubans have already benefited since the program was launched in coffee soil. However, many still do not know how to use it or its properties. Here we tell you the requirements you need to fulfill and the characteristics of the above scheme.

The first thing you need to know is that you can get asylum or parole in a participating country through this safe mobility program. This case includes countries including the United States, Canada and Spain.

Online applications for Secure Mobility are currently closed. For this purpose the program website is activated on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at 8 am Columbia time. The next openings are scheduled for November 14 and 28. Meanwhile, in December it is available on the 12th and 28th of the last month of the year.

Applications are reviewed equally regardless of when you apply. If you have already done so, please do not register again. If you need more information about the process, you have the option to call the Secure Mobility Contact Center. The toll free number enabled for this is 0 1800 519 0665.

Eligible Immigrants

The Safe Mobility Program is currently designed for immigrants from Cuba, Haiti and Venezuela who were already in Colombia before June 11 of this year. Not every individual’s immigration status is taken into account when accepting applications.

First, fill out a free online form that will allow you to get information about legal ways to travel to the United States or other countries. Each case will be reviewed individually and you will be notified whether or not you qualify.

Colombian officials note that all final decisions regarding entry into the United States are made by North American authorities. Additionally, they clarify that services related to the Safe Mobility Program are free. Any payment requests should be ignored.
