The mayor of San Fernando, Juan Andreotti, announced the incorporation of two new hectares into the Sports Center No. 3, facing the river. This initiative is part of the municipality's efforts to restore coastal green spaces.

On a tour of the grounds surrounding the sports facility, the community leader noted: “We are adding a new space to this sports center, which is one of the most beautiful things we have, so that all the neighbors, especially our grandparents, can enjoy it.” We will soon begin work on expanding this sports center, which is one of the favorite places for the neighbors, so we hope to welcome you this summer with the completely renovated property.

“We continue to work on adding more green spaces next to the river, just as in these years, with everyone’s efforts, we have already recovered and renovated 20 hectares of green space by expanding the marine park, the municipal waterfront and the Ecopark, places that make us feel proud, where we meet with family and connect with nature,” Andreotti concluded.

Sports Center No. 3 is the largest in San Fernando and is located at 9 de Julio Street at its intersection with the river. It specializes in water sports and has a municipal rowing and canoeing school, as well as a bodybuilding gym and one of the only heated Olympic swimming pools in the area.

In addition to offering classes in a variety of fields, natural disciplines and classrooms for residents of all ages, it is the usual headquarters for a senior citizens' colony shared by hundreds of retirees and those over 60.
