This week they report the disappearance of Alberto Turiz Betancourt, a Cuban who raised money on the streets of Havana for Amanda, a Cuban woman in need of a liver transplant.

Betancourt Pérez, a Cuban activist who identifies himself as Edmundo Dantés Junior, said he “hasn't appeared yet.”

“Yesterday morning at Dragons Police Station he received a summons from the State Security, which he attended…” he explained.

“After a day without news from him, his son and desperate friends asked there and they told them yes, 'he was a visitor but he left' and they didn't take him anywhere else,” the activist said.

“So where is it?” he asked. “He would not leave his son unheard for so long, and after being summoned by the police…” he said.

According to him, Cuba was “last seen by the police… it makes no sense. Let's hope he stays well.

Betancourt Perez was once known, when he learned of Amanda's condition, he decided to walk the streets of the Cuban capital in search of donations from citizens for the girl.

Carrying a box with the girl's photo, he did a lot of favors for her.

As the government summoned him, he attended the meeting and absconded.
