The Rays had too much power for the Giants in Glasnow, SF

SAN FRANCISCO — Christian Bethancourt homered and drove in a run to support Tyler Glasnow’s fourth straight decision win. The Tampa Bay Rays beat the San Francisco Giants 10-2 on Monday to get their first win since placing shortstop Vander Franco on the restricted list.

Osleivis Basabe hit a two-run single in the fourth for his first career RBI and Yandy Diaz followed with a run-scoring single. Bethancourt and Manuel Margot added back-to-back RBI singles in the fifth inning.

Colombian Harold Ramirez added a late RBI triple.

Glasnow (6-3) had strong scoring support to win his third straight start.The right-hander struck out seven over six innings and struck out three.

In an innovative fight, Jacob Lopez struck out Wade Meckler to end the seventh. Lopez pitched three innings for his first career save.

The Rays won for the third time in four games after losing 9-2 at home to Cleveland.

For the Rays, Yandy Díaz of Cuba went 6-2 with RBI and Randy Arosarena went 4-2 with two runs scored. Colombian Harold Ramirez went 5-3 with three runs scored and a tow. The Dominicans had Jose Siri 5-2 RBI and Manuel Margot 4-1 RBI. Christian Bethancourt of Panama went 5-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Venezuela’s Oslewis Passabe went 4-1 with one run scored and two RBIs.

For the Giants, Venezuela’s Tyro Estrada is 4-2 with two RBIs. Panamanian Johan Camargo 4-1.
