The Milstein Innovation Center is growing as a powerhouse for ideas and a space for sharing

The César Milstein Innovation Center shows increasing interest from young people of all ages every month, who find a suitable space for the development of projects and ideas.

Today’s demo was recently shown for the grand finale of SandBox 2023, a program that seeks to materialize a viable service and/or product by promoting public initiatives with innovation as a cornerstone.

In this third edition, three video game creation and development challenges are set for the César Milstein Innovation Center in its various fields (discover – train – take over).

Winners for each challenge:

Challenge 1

– Design and development of a TRIVIA video game in the three areas of the Innovation Center.

– “Believe Create” team: Tomás Ferner, Engineering Student in DCIC UNS Information Systems; Santiago Saxe Estrada, second year high school student, UNU basic course and Federico Saxe Estrada, fifth year high school student, UNU School of Commerce.

Challenge 2

– Design and development of a small format video game collection of games for DISCOVER AREA LABS (Audio, Multimedia, Manufacturing, Science and Minilabs).

Rookbird Team: Luciano Rizzo, founder and producer of a video game development studio; Elias Herbsomer, designer; Rodrigo Martín Diaz-Figueroa, programmer; Andrés Gonzalo Miravales Sosa, illustrator, and Lucas González Gabriel, programmer.

Challenge 3

– Design and development of a video game in augmented reality format Guided tour by the César Milstein Center for Innovation in its three areas.

– Commercial School Girls Team: Norma Maria Villamayor, teacher, Lic.Cs. Graduated from United Nations University. Brisa Echeverría, programming, sixth-year student at the UNU School of Commerce; María Paula Pérez Incharbi, programming, sixth-year student at the UNU School of Commerce; Michaela Pellegrini, Design, Sixth Year Student at UNU Business School and Karen Elaine Rosenberg, Design, Sixth Year Student at UNU Business School.

The three groups will receive up to $1,000,000 in prize money to apply to the investment plan (ANR) and will have six months to complete development of their proposed video game.

This program is run by the Innovation Center “César Milstein” in coordination with “Emprender En Red”, the Universities of UNS, UTN and UPSO and the Technology Pole.

This initiative aims to promote projects of public interest aimed at finding solutions to the challenges, opportunities or needs of the municipality. Provides tools, information, space and financing so that entrepreneurs, freelancers and/or SMEs can develop, test, validate and deliver proposed solutions to thematic challenges.
