• Six representatives from Teletón Talca and IND Maule will compete in this weekend’s competition at the Aquatic Center at the National Stadium in Santiago.
This weekend, an important delegation from Molly will host the National Para Swimming Championships, which will be held at the Aquatic Center at the National Stadium in Santiago. Six will be representatives of the region who will make their homeland and who will seek to leave the region at the top.
Bastian Montesinos, Benjamin Vargas, Daniel Araya, Agustin Salgado, Williams Matamala and Marcel Tapia will be part of this call. The athletes will be led by Telethon and Modified Sports Unit Exercise Coordinator, Cristián Cherif, in collaboration with swimming coach, Ricardo Gonzalez.
This delegation corresponds to the Maule Telethon team, together with the Ministry of Sports and the National Sports Institute of the Maule region, said the regional director of the IND, Sebastian Benno Saez, to these athletes
“We are very pleased with the large delegation of participants that the region will be participating in this national competition. Although there are some athletes who will make their first try, we have others like Williams, who was already a national champion in his class, so we are sure they will leave us Very well positioned. What these athletes are doing is a real example. I also benefit from appreciating the tremendous support of their relatives,” he said.

Regarding what this competition will be, Bastian Montesinos confirmed that “it is a good opportunity for me, because it is my first time to participate and it is entertaining and fun. I hope to get a good place and do my best”.
For her part, Christia Sheriff concluded: “As Telethon, we are very happy to be in this competition, to be back in these national championships, because this is a huge opportunity for the boys and it is very important for social inclusion, through physical activity. It is a great experience traveling to Santiago, getting away About the homeland, the question of independence, so the expectations are that they are doing their best, and if someone wins, it is much better.”
Keep in mind that the athletes will complete the 50m and 100m freestyle races, in their respective categories, as they will seek a good job.
