Here’s the weather forecast for when the stars start hitting the red carpet
Ahead of the Golden Globe Awards ceremony in Beverly Hills, California, they were busy drying off their red carpet after a downpour. The ceremony takes place at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, an area threatened by severe flooding from a series of storms that have hit the West Coast in recent days.
But there is a ray of hope: After heavy rain Monday night into Tuesday, Southern California is starting to see some respite. Isolated showers are still possible for the next few hours, but hopefully the Golden Globes can hold them off in Beverly Hills.
The show will go on, rain or shine. The awards tweeted a preview of the red carpet, showing a marquee over everything to make sure everyone stayed dry.

Across California: The state experienced heavy rain on Tuesday, threatening additional flooding and disruption as part of a series of storms that have forced thousands to evacuate, prompted dozens of rescues in recent days and left more than 16 dead in recent days.
More than 20 million Californians, or 10% of the US population, are under a flood watch as the Los Angeles and San Diego areas are also at risk of landslides.
