Valencia CF fans will be able to choose the design and message that their players will wear on the front of the shirt in the Copa del Rey matches, after ‘Socios.com’, the club’s main partner, agrees to assign their space in the Valencian elastic band.
The team will debut this design in the match of the first round of the Copa del Rey, which will be played as a single match on December 1.
Voting will take place through the app ‘Socios.com’, creator of the official Valencia CF Fan Token, and all fans who have at least one Fan Token $ VCF can participate in it, who can choose between five different designs that they pay tribute to different milestones and values of the club, the city and its fans.
The voting period will start on Monday, September 20 and the five designs will be revealed, one each day, throughout this week through the club’s social networks and ‘Socios.com’. The first, which was released this Monday, combines the number ‘1919’ and the infinity symbol, a tribute to the club’s founding year and the unconditional love of its members, which will last forever.
The shirt chosen for this initiative is the Legacy Kit, a new design with the colors Blue Lemonade and Vibrant Orange in which PUMA, within an international campaign with its main clubs in Europe, has replaced the traditional shield with the name of the club, that crosses the shirt from left to right.
“This pioneering initiative is a perfect example of the mission that inspired the creation of Socios.com, which is none other than empowering sports fans, involving them in the day-to-day running of their club and giving them more prominence,” explains Gilbert Camilleri, Marketing Director of ‘Socios.com’.
From Valencia CF they emphasize that this pioneering initiative is part of “within the determined commitment of the club to innovation and to explore new formats to connect with new audiences around the world”.
With the agreement with ‘Socios.com’, Valencia CF has entered the new generation of Fan Engagement and this is the fourth survey it has launched since it put its Fan Token on sale last July. Previously, Valencia CF allowed its fans to decide the song that plays when the team goes out to warm up at the Mestalla or the design of the team’s welcome arc, among other decisions.
The Fan Token $ VCF was launched on July 27 through the app ‘Socios.com’; 1 million units were put on sale and sold out in just a few hours. Those who arrived late will be able to purchase it through ‘Socios.com’ from next Tuesday, September 14 at 1:00 p.m. To participate in the surveys it is necessary to have at least one Token, and the more a fan has, the more weight they will have in the decisions.
