Have you ever wondered how some birds can fly in a V shape? There is an explanation to help understand this behavior
Organisms evolve over time, surviving in ecosystems as they adapt to the environment. In cases of displacement, those who overcome obstacles are those who develop the tools necessary for survival. Call it Darwin's theory, and in the case of migratory birds, One characteristic shared by many species is the V-shaped flight technique.. Have you ever stopped to wonder why this curious way of flying in a group? The truth is, there is a reason to explain it.
Why do birds fly in a V pattern to complete the migration cycle?
Although the same characteristic It is shared by some species of birds that do not travel thousands of kilometers Each year, an element represents those who travel such a distance. According to this position reference WikipediaAbout A strategic position that allows for energy savings For birds, a form of evolution also occurs in humans. This movement allows for less wind resistance, something that creates a tip that takes more effort with each paddle stroke.
V flight is a technique of evolution practiced by some species of birds. Wikipedia
This element is similar to what happens in the water after a ship passes by. The waves created around it are similar to the wind created by the movement of the wings. The first stage, i.e., located in the vortex, It is generally distributed among different birds forming V Periodically with the aim of distributing the effort in the group. This technique has been perfected through thousands and thousands of years of evolution.
This interesting tool Energy saving during kilometer travel It has been adapted by many species of birds. In fact, some of them are part of completely separate bird families, which reinforces the theory of evolution. At the same time, it should be noted how this aircraft solution It also has direct implications on the health of the units According to biologist Henry Weimerskirch, V is involved in formation.
Apparently, it was able to register How Birds Take Advantage of V Formation Long-haul travel has a heart rate of up to 15% lower than when they fly alone. In the same way, Increased planning skills Even significantly. It is these types of elements that have caused more and more species to choose this curious technique to enhance their ability to travel.
