Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Saharova told a news conference that Moscow wanted to hold a “serious discussion” with Washington over its response to the protests in Russia.

CHIȘINĂU, February 4 – Sputnik. Earlier, US diplomatic mission said it was following reports of “demonstrations in 38 Russian cities.” According to the US embassy, the diplomats “support the right of all people to peaceful demonstrations and freedom of expression”, and the actions of the Russian authorities are said to be “to suppress these rights.”

Zharova stressed that the Russian Foreign Ministry would pursue the issue.

“I assure you the news will not be long in coming,” Zahrova added.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation took note of the statements of the so-called Joint West on the situation with Alexei Navalny, and the suspended sentence in Tuesday’s “Yves Rocher” case was real.

“Of course, the United States has played a key role in guiding this whole choir, but, in general, there have been a number of statements about our internal agenda, including those of NATO heads of state and foreign ministers.” .

He called it an integrated information campaign aimed at “a global effort to control our country, to interfere in our internal affairs”. A spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry said: “There is nothing new here.

Unauthorized protests took place in various Russian cities on January 23 and 31, despite numerous warnings from authorities. On the evening of February 2, people took to the streets after the Moscow court in Simonovsky decided to commute Navalny’s suspended sentence to a real – 3.5 years in prison in the “Yves Rocher” case. Soon, major Western countries, including the United States, Germany, France and the United Kingdom, called on Russian authorities to release the founder of the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK *).

Earlier, the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation advised foreign politicians commenting on the situation with Navalny to respect international law and deal with the problems of their countries. Sergei Lavrov, the company’s chairman, said the statements of Western politicians on the issue were one and the same. As the Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has pointed out, the Kremlin does not want to take into account foreign reports in the naval case.

The Anti-Corruption Fund (FBK) is included in the register of non-profit organizations by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, which has the status of a foreign agent.
