Residents of Arucas will design the new public space in La Cruz and its surrounding areas

Citizen Participation organizes the community meeting “Participation in the Design of the New Public Space in La Cruz and Surrounding Areas”

Last year, a project was launched to improve the La Cruz neighborhood, in which neighbors, youth and children from the area participated. As a starting point, a common diagnosis was made. One theme highlighted in this process was the lack of public space; A yard or garden that allows meeting and exchange between neighbors, where young people can also enjoy their free time.

In this context, the Arucas City Council has made available to citizens the space currently occupied by the old Civil Guard building (in front of IES Arucas-Domingo Rivero) to jointly redesign a new project consisting of the transformation of the building. And his environment.

To participate in the design of this space that will be of public use, citizens (seniors, youth, children, students and teachers from municipal institutes) are invited to participate in the work tables that will be held on November 21 and 28 at the IES Araucas Domingo Rivero. At this meeting they will be able to present proposals and develop them together.
