Honduras became the fourth country since 2018 to move its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, where diplomatic representation is already active. With the launch of the white balloons, the opening ceremony of the new headquarters of the Katracha Embassy, located in the western part of the city, was celebrated.
Prior to the ceremony, which was attended by President Juan Orlando Hernandez and Israeli Prime Minister Naphtali Bennett, the Foreign Ministers of the two countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Agriculture, Water, Health, Education and Innovation.
