President AMBR on the withdrawal of the appointment of Elba Aponte

Vector Manuel Bonilla Sanchez, president of the Teachers’ Association (AMPR), responded Saturday to the withdrawal of the appointment of Education Secretary Elba Abbott Santos.

“From the beginning we have said that it is the job of the Senate to pass judgment on Professor Aponte and that we respect that decision because whoever is in that chair, our work will always be overseen by the exclusive representative of the teaching staff.
