Palestine: Israeli soldiers attack UN convoy in Gaza | AlMomento.net

Palestine.- According to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Middle East (UNRWA), a UN food truck in Gaza was fired upon by Israeli forces.

“We cannot deliver humanitarian aid under fire. Safe and sustainable humanitarian access is urgently needed everywhere, including in northern Gaza,” UNRWA posted on its X account.

According to UNRWA Director Thomas White, the convoy was hit by Israeli naval artillery fire. He said there were no injuries.

UNRWA is currently facing funding freezes from 16 countries. Meanwhile, UNRWA Commissioner General Philippe Lazzarini said, “These decisions threaten our humanitarian work in the region, including the Gaza Strip in particular.”

The total number of casualties of the Israeli occupation was 27,365 dead and 66,630 wounded. The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) estimates that 17,000 children in the Gaza Strip are unaccompanied or separated from their families during the armed conflict, and almost all minors require mental health assistance.
