Cuban singer-songwriter Paul Milanes He has been hospitalized in Spain for the past three months due to a persistent infection.

The artist’s condition is the result of an oncological illness he has suffered for years, and which led him to move to Madrid at the end of 2017 to receive treatment not available in Cuba, his art office said in a statement.

Recurrent infections due to chronic immunosuppression are also a side effect of this condition. The artist, whose health is stable, was admitted to the hospital due to gall bladder problem and urinary infection which had already resolved.
