(CNN) — *One of the best boy bands of the ’90s, NSYNC, reunited in full force during Tuesday’s MTV Video Music Awards—yes, that meant Justin Timberlake was there.

Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez and Timberlake appeared on stage at the VMAs to present the best pop award to Taylor Swift, who took home the first trophy of the night for her 2022 “anti-“hero” hit.

Swift jumped out of her seat when they first appeared on stage, and joined the excited audience in cheering as she saw the five members of the iconic boy band back together. While receiving the award, the team presented him with a friendship bracelet along with the statuette.

The five members of *NSYNC last appeared together on stage at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, when Timberlake accepted the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and wowed the audience with a performance of “Bye Bye Bye” and “Girlfriend” with his four-piece band.

* NSYNC first burst onto the pop music scene in the late ’90s, joining the boy band trend with 98 Degrees and the Backstreet Boys.

In 1998, they released their self-titled debut album, featuring hits such as “Tearin’ Up My Heart” and “I Want You Back”. His next album, “No Strings Attached,” arrived at the turn of the century and became a major hit on the Billboard charts with “Bye Bye Bye” and “It’s Gonna Be Me.”
