Northeast Science Week will have a special day in the wetlands

In the Argentine Science Week, the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (Conicet) of the NEA exhibition cycle will carry out “Dialogues with Science”. It will take place on October 17, 19, 21 and 24 and will include the participation of institutions from Chaco, Corrientes and Misiones.

Conversations will be broadcast live and will address topics of social importance, such as health, environmental care, sexual diversity and gender. This is how the 20th edition of the National Science Week, organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, will begin.

The aim of these activities is to highlight the contribution that science makes to study from various disciplines. The activities target high school, college and university students and will include the participation of institutions from Chaco, Corrientes and Misiones. It will be broadcast via the Conicet Nordeste YouTube channel. Participation is free and free and does not require prior registration.

On Wednesday it will be the dissemination of knowledge about wetlands. At 10 am, the exhibition “Responsible Urbanization in Water Regions” will begin, with Laura Alcalá – Research Institute for Regional Development and Human Habitat (Iidthh, Conicet – Unne); Then “Wetlands, Key Ecosystems to Stop Biodiversity Loss”, with Gabriela Lopez, of the Northeast Botany Institute (Eppon, Konisit-on). Finally, “Wetlands: Criteria for their Conservation and Sustainable Management,” with Silvina Casco, from the Center for Applied Ecology of the Coast (Sequal, Konisit-On).
