“All scientists have supported him and his campaign has been that: promoting science and technology and the creation of a ministry, that’s why they are very happy. Surely the country’s priorities will give you the ideas to make the corresponding decisions. All scientists hope that this is your decision”, He told the press upon leaving the Convention Center where he participated in the transfer of government process.
In that sense, the physicist indicated that Peru Libre has not confirmed the creation of said ministry and assured that if promoted, the president-elect will mention it in his speech.
Montoya also commented that during this time the wealth is found in the knowledge that people have, so it is necessary to promote both subjects.
“We hope that science and technology are the basis for the true independence of Peru in these aspects because, as everyone knows, in these moments the wealth is in the knowledge ”, he stressed.
Finally, he asserted that he has not spoken with the Secretary General of Peru Libre, Vladimir Cerrón. “I haven’t had a chance,” he said.
