The plane carrying American artist Miley Cyrus Asuncion made an emergency landing at the Ciudad del Este airport before flying from Paraguay to Brazil after being struck by lightning.

“Our plane was caught in a big unexpected storm and struck by lightning,” the singer wrote to her millions of followers on her Twitter account on Wednesday. The translator of hit songs such as “Angels Like You” confirmed that his crew, band, friends and family were “safe after an emergency landing”.

“Unfortunately we were not able to fly to Paraguay,” he said in a series of tweets, including a video of the storm from the plane’s window and a photo of its impact.

Cyrus, one of the stars invited to the Asuncion 2022 festival, was canceled from the first day Tuesday night due to a strong storm that hit the Paraguayan capital.

Evidence from Silvio Petrosi International Airport, which serves Asuncion, confirmed to Efe that the artist’s flight to the city used the Guarani Airport at Ciudad del Este as an alternative due to “inclement weather”.

The ship, after redistribution, went to Sao Paulo, Brazil, a spokesman said, but he did not elaborate.

Rodrigo Nogues, organizer of Asuncionico 2022 and director of G5Pro, told the ABC station that Cyrus was in S பாo Paulo “because he had a problem with the plane”.

He did not immediately confirm whether the second day of the show was suspended. This Thursday, the Asunciோniko concert will feature performances by Cyrus, as well as performances by Argentine Nicki Nicole, Puerto Rican Joy Cortez and the Uruguayan band La Vela Burka.

My fans and everyone worried when they heard about my flight to Asuncion. Our plane was caught in an unexpected big storm and hit by lights. All of my crew, band, friends and family who traveled with me were safe after the emergency landing. pic.twitter.com/NhKrospppN
