Miley Cyrus’ plane en route to Paraguay was struck by lightning and crashed

The plane carrying American artist Miley Cyrus Asuncion made an emergency landing at the Ciudad del Este airport before flying from Paraguay to Brazil after being struck by lightning.

“Our plane was caught in a big unexpected storm and struck by lightning,” the singer wrote to her millions of followers on her Twitter account on Wednesday. Evidence from Silvio Petrosi International Airport, which serves Asuncion, confirmed to Efe that the artist’s flight to the city used the Guarani Airport at Ciudad del Este as an alternative due to “inclement weather”.
