JetBlue decided to abide by the decision of the American judge, who ordered the termination of its alliance with America. The company stated that although it disagreed with the judge’s ruling, it would not appeal his decision to obtain approval for its merger with Spirit and protect $3.8 billion. Then he will stop coordinating flights and sharing revenue with the Americans.

Jetblue CEO Robin Hayes said in a personal comment that the decision will allow them to “focus more on integrating us with Spirit.”

However, there are conflicting opinions such as those of Andre Barlow, the antitrust attorney for Doyle, Barlow & Mazard PLLC, who believes it is worse to end the alliance as Jetblue has less chance of taking over Spirit. “I don’t think it helps,” El Economista reported.

As mentioned REPORTUR.usIn May, the American company indicated that it was in the process of appealing the ruling that prevented the alliance with JetBlue, and this was stated at the time by the American president, Robert Isom. (American will appeal the ruling blocking its alliance with Jetblue).
