(CNN) – The Israeli military says Hezbollah hit “weapons storage facilities” in several airstrikes across Lebanon on Saturday.

According to Lebanon's Ministry of Health, four people, three of them children, were injured in the attack on the outskirts of Al-Kawak city in Baalbek-Hermal Governorate. The ministry said that all the injured should be treated at the hospital.

Lebanon's state news agency NNA reported another attack on “empty shops” in the city of Sarin in Baalbek.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the strikes in the Beqaa and Baalbek areas, saying they hit Hezbollah weapons depots.

They also said they hit Hezbollah weapons depots in seven other areas of southern Lebanon.

The attacks followed what the IDF described as a barrage of 55 projectiles fired from Lebanon into Israeli territory on Saturday morning. The IDF said the projectiles were aimed at the Upper Galilee and Galilee areas.

The Iran-backed Hezbollah militant group said it bombarded an Israeli army brigade headquarters in Yiftach Eliklit, northwest of Lake Tiberias, with “dozens of Katyusha rockets.”

Hezbollah also said it carried out several attacks in northern Israel throughout Saturday with rockets and drones targeting Israeli military bases. He described the attacks as “in support of our steadfast Palestinian people in Gaza and their brave and honorable resistance.”

There has been almost daily shelling along the Israel-Lebanon border since fighting broke out between Israel and Hamas in Gaza following the October 7 attack.

CNN's Benjamin Brown and Eyad Kourdi contributed to this report.
