We work with dairy products, we went to the supermarket, we saw the prices and noticed that they were very high. From there came the idea of making dairy products at home. The boys began to investigate, we watched videos, we called a food technician who told us it could be produced At home and kept in the fridge with a good cooler and an airtight seal. “They are children from low-income families, so he was very happy when he learned that he could make yogurt at home, which is not eaten every day and looks like a luxury item.”

CEC “Florencio Varela”

An artistic project that was initiated by the Municipal Complementary Educational Center “Florencio Varela”. The children initially worked on an installation based on the work of Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. Lorena, mentor, project coordinator noted. “They were learning the history of Yayoi Kusama and we put together the installation. The most important thing is that the kids enjoyed it a lot, learned through the game and kept adding things to it. What caught their attention the most is the way Yayoi works with dots and colors. We learn about the artist’s life, and the sacrifices she made. She had to present her as a woman in order to be recognized, because her father did not want her to be an artist and she had to live in the United States.”

High School No. 11

The students of the fourth secondary class No. 11 presented the “Fibo Al-Tabkh” project, which consists of making a solar-powered stove. Monica Martinez, an advisory professor of biology, noted that it was based on a model that was presented at the time by the Department of Physics at the National University of La Plata. “We put it together and cooked it in the yard, so we put it to practical use.” “It’s a kitchen made of recyclable materials, where cardboard and aluminum foil were used to focus the sun’s rays and the black pot to absorb the heat.”

Secondary School No. 13 (Gorostiaga)

“Arrival at your destination, a plan for our people,” is the joyful work of High School No. 13 of Gorostiaga. Sophia and Agustin announced the details of the investigation. “We went to a small town and saw that they had a map and we thought of doing the same for our city, since there are many people who go and it is difficult to find their destination. It is difficult because our streets do not have names or signs.”

“We all think about it because it includes us all, not just the visitors, because when they ask us we have to tell them ‘Go to the other street, turn that turn’…so that people can find their way around themselves and learn a lot about Gorostiaga. We also think That in this way the tourism of our town will increase because there are many activities. We gave interviews such as Jose Bernegotti who wrote about the railways and the history of the city, surveys, we went to the station and other activities”, they pointed out.

Art Education School No. 1

Matteo Tardetti and Santiago Buccalari, 6th grader, Technical Education School No. 1, developed a photovoltaic power generation project. They explained the initiative, saying: “It relies on renewable and clean energy through photovoltaic energy. The main idea is to develop a charging center that is accessible to everyone in the squares and places where people move so that they can charge their mobile devices for free and not pollute it.”

“Most of the components we use, for example the charging regulator and solar panels, are recycled with the remaining elements from the installation of the security cameras. At first, we had the idea to take it to the municipality and raise it, but we weren’t able to because of a matter of time. Hopefully over time this will become possible. time, because it is a very useful thing for neighbors. ”
