In the public space operation, alcoholic beverages and substances were seized in the center and Getsemane

In the midst of operations supported by the Department of Public Space and Urban Mobility (GEPM), the National Police confiscated 136 beer cans, two power plants and other mobile items, for inappropriate occupation of public space.

The serious work, envisaged in the Titan 24 plan works, was carried out in the Getsemane neighborhood, in Guerrero Street, Plaza de la Santísima Trinidad, Plaza Cervantes, Aduana, Proclamacion and Primera de Badillo Street. Violators violated occupancy regulations and a ban on the sale of alcoholic beverages in public places.

Tanis Puello Miranda, director of Espacio Público, called on informal participants to respect the rules. “The majority of violations we found were related to improper occupation. Likewise, there are unofficial entities that do not comply with authorized measures, despite being in the Unified Register of Vendors (RUV). That is why we call on you to adhere to the rules, as operations will continue.”

Puello Miranda stressed that the sale of alcoholic beverages in public places is prohibited, and called on owners of bicycles and electric scooters, reminding them not to park their cars while waiting for customers.

He pointed out that we will continue to defend public space, in the historic center and the entire city, without respite, as enjoying these free spaces is a step towards peace and coexistence among citizens, and thus we contribute to restoring the luster of the city. “Director of Public Space,” highlighted the Director of Public Space.
