It is for this reason that the Minister of Culture, Education, Vocational Training and Universities, Roman Rodríguez, visited the Musensee Institute yesterday to inspect the progress of these expansion works, included in the new Pedagogical Architecture Plan, which increased by 27% in total. A budget of €243 million to meet the needs for the modernization of Galician centers by the Regional Administration.
With regard to IES de Mos, the Minister explained that more than 720 thousand euros have been invested in the aforementioned works. “A procedure in which we are responding to the needs of one of the boards with the greatest educational demand and which we plan to complete to start the course, so that students can enjoy the new spaces from day one,” Rodriguez stated.
“We offer alternatives to Moss students, who until now have had to travel to public centers in Vigo to study the foundation programme,” highlights the minister.

Specifically, the classroom space on the first floor has been increased with four new spaces for this and other uses, all of which are larger than 60 sqm And with external lighting. The intervention also led to the conversion of the ground floor and the expansion of the library.
In this sense, Roman Rodriguez highlighted the importance of school libraries, an area in which “Galicia is a state standard and which have become real learning laboratories and which contribute to good results for Galician students in reading comprehension”. Thus, the new library includes a study area on the first floor connected to the ground floor through the construction of stairs.
