It is a common frustration for many users to see how a cell phone battery will last less than 24 hours. However, with some simple adjustments to the settings of the device, its life can be significantly extended.

To achieve this objective, you do not need to download any external applications or complicated procedures. So any user who follows the steps can take advantage of these settings and prevent the phone from discharging before the end of the day.

One of the best ways to save battery is to put apps you don't use often to sleep. While these apps are open, they continue to run in the background and consume power unnecessarily. Here is the step-by-step procedure for doing this:

  1. Open the Settings app and go to Battery > Background usage limits.
  2. Tap Hibernating apps to open the list.
  3. Press the '+' icon in the top right corner, select the apps you want to add and tap Add.

Always a visual feature This is useful for checking the time and notifications without turning on the screen completely, but it constantly uses battery. Power consumption can be significantly reduced by disabling this function. To do this, you need to go through the following process:

  1. Open Settings and go to Lock Screen & AOD.
  2. Always turn off the switch next to the display.

Screen standby time refers to the amount of time the phone remains on the screen even after you stop using it. Reducing this time will help save battery life. It is structured like this:

  1. Open Settings and go to Display > Screen Timeout.
  2. Choose a short duration, such as 30 seconds.

The refresh rate of the screen determines how many times per second the image on the screen is updated. Higher frequencies, such as 120 Hz, provide smoother viewing but use more battery. Reducing this frequency can help save energy:

  1. Open Settings and go to Display > Motion Smoothness.
  2. Select Standard if set to High and tap Apply.

Power saving mode is a comprehensive feature that lowers screen brightness, limits background activity, reduces visual effects, disables vibration and haptic feedback, and disables always-on display, among other features. To use this mode, follow these steps:

  1. Open Settings and go to Battery.
  2. Turn on the power saving switch. You can also customize this feature by adjusting which features should be limited or disabled.

WiFi Search is a feature that continuously searches for available networks even when WiFi is turned off. While this improves the accuracy of location-based services, it also constantly consumes battery power. Disabling this feature will help reduce power consumption.

  1. Open Settings and go to Location > Location Services.
  2. Turn off the switch next to Wi-Fi Search.

Some apps use more battery than others. Identifying these applications and adjusting their settings can reduce power consumption. For example, You can put an app you don't use often into deep sleep, stop receiving notifications from it, limit your screen time, or turn off unnecessary settings like persistent location tracking. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Open Settings and go to Device Maintenance > Battery.
  2. Scroll through to see which apps or features are using the most battery and adjust their settings.
