Health Secretary Carlos Mellado assured passengers that no positive case of COVID-19 had been received from the Mardi Gras ship this afternoon.
This is in the face of the information that has arisen about the investigation initiated by Disease Control Centers (CDC), to the Carnival Cruise Line ship that arrived in Puerto Rico this morning.
“The Maddie Cross ship did not report any positive cases of COVID-19 among its passengers. Serious cases are associated with other conditions; intestinal inflammation and gastrointestinal problems are negative tests for the virus,” Mellado said.
